Mountain View Group, Ltd. Purchased by Two Employees

Mountain View Group, Ltd. announced the sale of the company today to two key, longstanding employees, Thomas Gonyeau and Stephen Pruitt.

Founded in 1981 by James Tusty, Mountain View Group has consistently ranked as one of the premiere film and video production companies with offices in New York and Atlanta.  Its clients have included GE Energy, The Coca-Cola Company, IBM, Raytheon, Home Depot, and New York State.  Mountain View has won over 200 national and international awards.

“We are very excited about this transition and feel it sustains our position of serving our clients at the forefront of our industry as a full-service communications company,” said principals Gonyeau and Pruitt.

“It’s business as usual… and even better,” according to the new owners.  The Mountain View focus remains the same: to consistently provide moving communication solutions that integrate innovative creativity, strategic thought, reliable process, and high quality results … in every project. 

Tusty and his wife, Maureen, also a film producer, have started a new company called Sky Films Incorporated, focused primarily on feature documentaries.  Their first feature film, The Singing Revolution, opened in New York and Los Angeles in December, where it was met with great success. It was held over for five weeks at the Village East Theater in New York, and is now being rolled out across the country.

“It was the right time for me to sell Mountain View,” said Tusty.  “Maureen and I are embarking on a feature film direction, and Thom and Stephen have been handling the corporate and commercial work for years now.  The sale of the company will be seamless for our clients.  It was a win-win for everyone.”

“Jim remains on board as a consultant, and Maureen as a producer.” said Gonyeau and Pruitt. “We will definitely capitalize on Jim’s 25 years experience running Mountain View.  Mountain View has an excellent industry and customer reputation and we hope to grow it further.”
